- Summary

- After an international academic career in England, India, Qatar and finally Switzerland, Nean focuses on making art in different media, which include hand stitching, a skill he was taught by two milliners (mother and daughter) at the age of five. Studies in Archaeology and History of Art as well as German language and Literature, and the experience gained from embroidery workshops as well as collecting and dealing in Asian and European antiques have built up Nean’s resolutely manual and intellectual artistic practice.
